Published Proceedings from the CCHE 2024 Conference We are pleased to inform the public that the Proceedings from the international multidisciplinary conference “Challenges of Contemporary Higher Education” – CCHE 2024, held at Kopaonik from 29 January to 3 February 2024, have been published. This significant gathering brought together experts from various fields, and their papers are now available in four extensive volumes of proceedings, published by the Conference of Academies for Applied Studies in Serbia (CAASS) and the Faculty of Contemporary Arts.   The Proceedings are organised into the following areas:   Vol_1: Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications and Information Technologies Vol_2: Medical Sciences; Natural and Mathematical Sciences Vol_3: Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Software; Transportation, Urban Planning and Civil Engineering; Land, Water and Air Protection and Use; Biotechnology and Agriculture Vol_4: Philosophy, Psychology, Pedagogy and Sociology; Law, Economics and Political Sciences; Arts; Languages for Specific Purposes   The Proceedings contain papers of exceptional academic value, aimed at contributing to the further advancement and development of the scientific and professional community. Groundbreaking Success at CCHE 2024: A Global Gathering of Minds In an unprecedented display of academic collaboration and innovation, the 2024 edition of the CCHE 2024 Conference has concluded with remarkable achievements. The conference, known for its dedication to fostering the global exchange of knowledge and ideas, has seen a significant increase in participation and contributions this year.   Four hundred seven research papers were presented in both plenary and regular sessions, showcasing the latest advancements and research findings in higher education. These sessions were complemented by a dedicated student symposium, where 19 papers were presented by students, highlighting the importance of including emerging scholars in global academic dialogues.   The event was international, with participation from 18 countries, underscoring the conference’s role as a melting pot for diverse academic cultures and perspectives. This year’s CCHE was made possible by the collaborative efforts of 38 organisers and co-organizers, demonstrating the power of teamwork in achieving common goals.   Behind the scenes, the organisational and scientific aspects of the conference were meticulously managed by 67 organising committees and 305 scientific committee members. Their dedication ensured the smooth running of the conference and the high quality of discussions and presentations.   The conference also celebrated the contributions of 200 authors whose research papers added depth and breadth to the academic discussions. In addition to these contributions, the conference boasted an impressive collection of 1267 acquired references, with an additional 19 references stemming from student contributions. This comprehensive knowledge repository is a testament to the rich academic environment the CCHE fosters.   As the CCHE 2024 comes to a close, the academic community looks forward to the future, inspired by the wealth of knowledge shared and the connections formed. Successfully opened CCHE 2024 Conference With great satisfaction and enthusiasm, the CCHE conference on Kopaonik has officially opened. The prestigious event commenced with an introductory speech by Dr. Branko Savić, a professor and president of the Conference of Academies and Higher Education Institutions of Serbia (CAASS), who greeted and inspired all participants. Professor Savić noted that his dream of creating a broad platform to gather a large number of participants on the topic of higher education had been realized. He mentioned that 404 papers were submitted from 18 countries for the plenary session and regular sessions, along with 19 student papers, expressing gratitude to all who participated.   Dr. Gabrijela Grujić, the director of the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia, addressed the assembly, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation in education.   Prof. Dr. Janko Samardžić, special advisor to the Minister of Education, highlighted the importance of continuous improvement and knowledge exchange in the field of higher education.   A special contribution to the event was made by Dr. Aleksandar Šević, a professor from Trinity College in Ireland and the Institute of Technology, who, as the president of the scientific committee, shared his thoughts on future trends in education.   “We owe a great deal of gratitude to our friends from Romania, who played a crucial role in the internationalization of the conference,” said Prof. Dr. Dragan Ćalović, dean of the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, inviting Mnerie Dumitru from Romania to briefly address and share his experience and vision.   Srećko Miodragović, advisor and chief of the president’s office at Comtrade, the general sponsor of the conference, presented a special acknowledgment to Professor Dumitru for his outstanding contribution to the internationalization of the conference.   As the representative of the general sponsor, Srećko Miodragović emphasized the importance of collaboration between representatives of educational institutions, educational policy makers, and the business sector.   The evening was concluded with a cocktail reception in the hotel lobby. New meeting of the Organizing Committee: Towards the CCHE 2024 Conference Today, an important meeting of the Organizing Committee regarding the CCHE conference was held at the Higher School of Vocational Studies for Information Technologies (ITS). Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the CCHE at the ITS was held – final preparations for the conference 12/01/2024 At the Higher School of Vocational Studies for Information Technologies (ITS), as well as online, another crucial meeting of the Organizing Committee for the upcoming CCHE conference was held. The meeting was led by the president of the Organizing Committee (president of KASSS), who shared the preliminary agenda for the upcoming conference with those present. Additionally, he provided information that, to date, as many as 350 scientific papers have been submitted for the regular session, with the expectation of receiving additional submissions. The meeting was an opportunity to reach consensus on numerous operational issues that remained open ahead of the conference. A constructive dialogue was established, and an agreement was reached on how to address these challenges, ensuring the smooth organization of the event. A new meeting of the Organizing Committee for the “CCHE” conference at ITS 20/12/2023 The Organizing Committee of the International Multidisciplinary Conference “Challenges of Contemporary Higher Education” (CCHE 2024) held a new meeting at ITS on December 15, both in person and online.   During this operational meeting, further steps were discussed regarding the preparation of this international conference, in which the Conference of Academies and Higher Schools of Serbia (CAHSS) has now included over 30 co-organizers, including academies, higher vocational schools, and faculties from both domestic and international institutions. Additionally, over 270 members of the International Scientific Committee from 23 countries are actively involved, and this number continues to grow. The submitted papers are currently under review, and it is expected that around 200 papers from the conference’s focus areas will be presented at the event.
